Travel program

Day 1, Thu, 03/08
Meet at 18h00 at the EL-AL Airline counter of O.R. Tambo International
Airport in Johannesburg. Departure to Tel Aviv at 20h00.

Day 2, Friday, 04/08
Arrival in Tel Aviv at 05H25. We are met by our Agent and visit Caesarea, the
Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18) where Elijah challenged the Baal prophets, Nazareth, and finally
Cana where Jesus performed His first miracle (John 2:1-11). We are transferred to our hotel
in Tiberias.

Day 3, Sat, 05/08
What a wonderful day ahead. We visit the place of the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7), Tabga,
Mensa Kriste, Capernaum and enjoy an unforgettable boat cruise on the Sea of Galilee. To St
Peters Fish for lunch we end the day at Yardenit Christian baptistry.

Day 4, Sun, 06/08
This morning we travel to Masada and climb the mountain fortress by cable car, after this we visit
Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947. After lunch we relax in the
waters of the Dead Sea. Finally we visit the Palm City of Jericho. We are transferred to
our hotel in Bethlehem.

Day 5, Mon, 07/08
We start this morning in Bethlehem and visit the Herdersvelde and the Church of the Nativity. After
lunch we travel to Jerusalem and visit the Mount of Olives, walk away on Palm Sunday and visit
the Teardrop Church (19:41-44), the Garden of Gethsemane and the Crow Church (St Peter in
alicantu Matt 26:69-75).

Day 6, Tue, 08/08
This morning we visit Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist and the Yad Vashem
Museum. After this we visit the Upper Room, (Acts 2) the tomb of King David, (Acts 2:29) the
Jewish part of the Old City (Die Kardo) and ends the day at the Wailing Wall.

Day 7, Wed, 09/08
This is our last day in Israel, we visit the bath of Bethesda (John 5:1-11) and the St. "Annes" church.
We walk the Protestant Via Dolorosa and visit the Lithostotos. We go to the Garden Tomb
where we enjoy a delicious Holy Communion service. The rest of the afternoon is free for shopping in the Old Town
City.

Day 8, Thu, 10/08
We are transferred to Ben Gurion Airport for our flight back to Johannesburg at 09h00.
Arrival in Johannesburg at 16h30 after an unforgettable tour in Israel and a larger circle of friends.
The thought is: SEE YOU NEXT YEAR AGAIN IN JERUSALEM.
